The inspiration for this collection stems from the lifestyle surrounding an American country club. Golf, money, croquet, reputation, status -- A world that seems foreign and surreal to the vast majority of American society. This elite society is something that many can only dream of being a part of.. Plunging this world into an even more “unreal” atmosphere enhances the nuances of the clothing, style, lifestyle.

There is a parallel between the difficulty in the social forces associated with this lifestyle, and within the physicality of the series. The unfamiliarity of movement, weight, and light underwater changes the dynamic. The participants simultaneously float carelessly and struggle for breath. This volatile atmosphere provided me with an amazing opportunity, an opportunity to create something that is both desirable and terrifying.
